Systems Engineer - In-Space Manufacturing (f/m/d)

You will be a hardware Systems Engineer (f/m/d) for the ISM (In-Space Manufacturing) activities, supporting the end-to-end system design, from technology development to flight missions and ISM solar array commercial products.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of Dcubed´s world first in-space manufacturing (ISM) technology
Work with the PMs and a multidisciplinary technical team to design technical system architectures for tech demo missions and customer products
Plan system requirements to comply with customer and ECSS / NASA specifications, including component-level requirements
Create systems verification plans and design verification activities
Manage interfaces between subsystems
Maintain technical budgets for the system
Prepare technical documentation and participate in stakeholders' meetings
Here is what you bring to the table
BS / MS degree in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical or a related subject)
5+ years of experience with space system development or satellite systems design
Knowledge of engineering standards used in space industry (eg ECSS, MIL)
Knowledge/experience of systems engineering processes
Knowledge of space environment
Fluent in English
Eligible to work in Germany
Please note that we are looking for an engineer with space hardware experience, not software development background.
Nice to Have Requirements:
Proven record of successful flight of satellite missions in a system engineering role
Understanding of structures, thermal control, and electrical systems
Comfortable coding in Python
Skilled with data visualization and sharing of information
