Avionics Integration Engineer

The Avionics Integration Engineer combines their knowledge of spacecraft avionics, software, systems engineering, integration and test to lead the assembly and test of avionics hardware throughout the payload and spacecraft lifecycle. They develop the processes and procedures that take the avionics, electrical and software elements of our programs and turn them into complete payloads and missions. The avionics integration engineer will work hands on with critical Dcubed engineering and flight hardware and will be responsible for delivery and verification of flight systems.
You will be working with all engineering disciplines, procurement and project management with the end goal of delivering an integrated payload end product that meets subsystem, system, and mission requirements.
What you will do:
Develop integration and test plans and procedures for avionics and electrical hardware
Identify needs for electrical ground support equipment and develop solutions for its implementation
Support functional, acceptance and qualification test campaigns on avionics and electrical hardware
Work closely with flight software team
Develop and integrate spacecraft avionics systems and subsystems
Support system-level analyses and risk assessments for avionics functionality
Work with engineers across multiple disciplines (avionics, systems, mechanical, software, operations, etc.) to ensure as-built and as-tested configurations meet design and mission requirements
Support mission planning, launch readiness, and mission operations activities
This is what you will bring to the table:
Must-haves:
Education: B.S. Electrical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 –7 years of experience working with flight avionics systems, in a hands-on integration environment.
Self motivated, energetic, passionate about solving problems and loves to be hands on.
Language: English
Nice-to-haves:
Electrical interface checkouts for avionics components, harnesses and related systems
Experience in mission or flight software
Embedded software development experience
Have played a major part in more than one successful spaceflight electrical assembly integration and test campaign.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
